What is Healthcare for Everyone Mean?

The other day an insurance company in the Boston area made a statement that the country had to move toward universal healthcare.  I thought that was odd.  Wouldn't it mean the the insurance companies would loose money and control?  It took a few hours for the light bulb to go on.  If the model for universal insurance is like Massachusetts then EVERYONE will have to have insurance and pay for it whether through work or independently.  What a boon for all the companies.  There is so much struggle in Massachusetts for people
to get insurance.  If you have to purchase it, it isn't cheap and it it doesn't provide great services or access.  Dare I say the lobbyist had a field day when this law was being worked.  Does it really help?  I have to say at least there is the hope that people will have some services.  However, in Massachusetts it is hard to find a primary care provider and the newer insurances aren't accepted by as many practices.  I don't want to sound too negative because the idea of everyone being able to care is a good one.  But I ask is there a better way?  All I know is, it scares me when the insurance companies drive the conversation.
